Using a pressure load bar with the factory bedliner?

Just put in a pressure release load bar to take my bike somewhere this weekend and I noticed the factory plasticy liner really pushes in far on the bed walls. I've got it up where the front board notch is and they bend close to an inch out with it pushing on them.

The bar seems stable but I dont want to damage stuff or lose the thing if the sides decide to crack. I've used it before plenty of times in steel beds on old trucks and never saw this. I'm surprised it moves at all, honestly - I figured the liner would be right up on the sides but it must be hollow

I guess this is this normal, but is it anything to worry about?
