Did you replace the deck, or just add the amp?

I'd highly suggest adding in tie down straps for the back wheels if your sitting on top of the tonneau cover. I've had my motorbike which I stupidly tied down just the front as it was a wuick trip, slide over in my bed of my tundra and squash some of my gear. If on top of the tonneau and the 30lb mtb slides off the the side of the truck in a corner it will drop down and rip those mounts right out of the tonneau cover. You won't need much to tie it down, just a bungee cord or something to stop it from sliding around.

To the second poster with the mounts on the inside, very clever idea. I just use a tailgate pad at the moment, I am torn btw a cannopie, soft top and tonneau cover. need to really figure out my needs.

This is very cool. Which tonneau cover are you using and how stable is it with the fork mounted inside the cover? I worry on long windy roads the bike may just rip the fork mount off the metal bracing of the tonneau cover.

Its the stock Toyota cover. I used RivNuts to attach the fork mount. It is pretty solid and I cant see anything except hard offroading tearing the mount out. Having said that, over time if the plastic becomes more brittle?...

My plan is to mount a plate between the tonneau and the fork mount that will bridge between the two plastic ribs. This will add stability and offer four mounting points to the plastic. Bomber.

What did I do to my BRAND NEW truck? I took it in to get transmission fluid checked since the dealership failed to do it when I drive it off the lot. Quart low.

Picked up some military style gas cans and a trunk for the bed for tools, tow straps, jumper cables etc. The bed bars were $10 a piece at a local auto shop. Nothing is mounted so can all be taken out if I need. In total, the trunk, gas cans, and bars came to $85. Perfect little set up for me. And it fits underneath my tonneau cover.

In northern ontario it's easy to need extra. For quads or boats or even the truck if you need it. Not hard to get to be more than 300km from a gas station. Most people don't need it but for hunting and fishing way off the grid it's nice to have, especially for your boat. Most times I don't even use it, but have sold it more than once!
