Popped over to the VA clinic to drop my son off at work (he volunteers). Ran into the owner of this as he pulled in. Told me this is normally his daily driver, unless he's rolling in a two-color white/blue '68 Chevy C-10 long bed.

I wanted to molest this car, but I kept my hands to myself.

Is this acceptable? My 1972 international scout. It's been my dream car since I sat in this exact truck at 5-6yrs old. Owned by my great uncle from the day it rolled off the truck until I bought it from him 3 years ago

Hmmm, I think we need a lot more pictures before we can truly make an educated decision.

Yeah best we got within 15 mins is an Off Road Racing Track. I go every year because I don't know how long it will be there. The whole family loves the races but who wouldn't?

There's more details in my build thread but she's a 72 scout II with the 302 international. No rebuilds and 4in lift full leaf springs and shocks none of that block shit and 32x9.5 super swampers. Stock transmission and regeared to 4.10 I believe it was done before I bought it.

It's like the TRD pro version of the international. It's got the 1 piece grill and chrome hubcaps (not a fan but it's original) high lift mount under the hood and a axe, shovel and saw mounts under the hood all included in that package as well as a shotgun mount on the drivers side door.

Craft mans tool box as a center console aftermarket AC and radio. The list goes on of mods lol

@Boogyman Nice Scout II, yours appears to be in really pristine shape.
    I have a 72 Scout as well. Your International V-8 is the 304. They came with V8's in a 266, 304, 345 and a 392. I have re-built one each of the 266 and the 345. Mine is running a 98 Chevy 350 backed by a SM465.

Didn't I put its got the 304? I think I mentioned it in my super long post lol. From my understanding it's the most reliable of the engines offered. My dad had a 4cyl 800 when I was growing up and did the 350 vortec swap later on and a grand Cherokee power steering conversion.

I thought you said 302, I must have read it wrong. 266 and 304 shared the same block as did the 345 and 396. They were all very reliable. The 304 was the peppiest of the bunch. 345 was a dog and the 396 was beastly.

You might try Coonrods in Grant Colorado.
Nothing new, but tons of parts. I scored a Travellall Dana 60 for my Scout from his yard for $200.00.
Unfortunately he has no website, you would have to call him.
    https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=coonrods+grant+co

As for the seal around the topper to body, I just used camper shell foam.
A strip of rubber is needed for the windshield seal. You might also try McMaster-Carr.

    That's a cool Scout!
Friend of mine had the Scout with a pickup bed way back when.
