Spark Plug Install Question

    I heard these things are hard to get threaded/started. How can you tell if it's not threaded right vs. all the way in? Stated differently, how can you tell if the resistance you're feeling is not threaded right or it's as tight as it's gonna get?

    actually, that's exactly how i did it. just couldn't tell if it was spinning in place or starting. i guess it's just a feel thing.

    I put them in with just the socket and extension by hand, and you can feel it thread in. I haven't had one cross thread, but I think it would be noticeable right away, whereas threaded properly it will take lots of rotations before you will feel resistance as it seats.

    Make sure you put anti seize on them and turn them by hand than torque them to 15 lbs

    holy crap the driver's side is gonna be hard. it took 5 minutes just to unclip the electrical thing at the top. my hands are way too big to fit in there...

    Only the maglight mod,mounted on floor drivers side, billet antenna and have lined all storage under rear seats with rubber to keep the rattling to a minimum.
    I've always started anything that's threaded and in a blind spot by rotating to the left until I feel it drop into to the starting thread then slowly rotate to the right and it's easy to feel wether the threads are started correctly. It's never failed me in the past.

    i just disconnected everything in sight to make them accessible. took awhile to patch it back together, but saved me the frustration...

    truck runs great on the iridium plugs! i heard they last 90k!

    The old plugs were .050+ gapped after 40k miles. definitely was time to change them. the driver's side ones wore faster than the ngk passenger side ones for some reason.,.,.
