I'm in BC, just wondering if anyone has info on the legality of a roof mounted LED bar.
I'm thinking you need to cover the lens when on the Highway but not sure where to find that kind of info.

AFAIK in Alberta LED's are still in a gray area. The cops won't ticket you for having them uncovered but if you turn them on while on a public road you are in for a shit storm.

BC IIRC you have to have a cover on Offroad lights... but LED lights below the level of the headlights count as fogs as long as they number 2 or less and do not have to be covered.

Look through Div 4 of the BC Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, it's all on lights..
    http://bclaws.ca/civix/document/LOC...Act Regulations/26_58_01.xml#division_d2e2471

4.09; you can have 2 aux lights between 40cm to 1.06m off the ground, aimed properly, and switched with highbeam.
4.11; you can have 2 fog lights no lower than 30cm from the headlights, aimed properly.
4.26; off-road lamps when on a highway must have the off-road lamps concealed with opaque covers.

Just found my own thread lol.
Figured I'd throw a pic of what I ended up doing, Had a local upholstery shop make a custom cover.
It's pretty nice, made of "sunshade" the stuff boat covers are made from and it just zips on and makes no noise and is durable for all seasons.
