    I have seen a few threads of this done on first gens but has anyone successfully done this for a second generation?

    Given the cost involved and since you haven't bought a truck yet wouldn't it make more sense to buy a 4x4? I'm sure a lot of the parts could be picked from a wrecked truck but not sure it would be worth it.

    Thought about that but they just hold their value so well I was hoping to get a prerunner and add the parts as I could.
