Factory stereo wiring question

hi guys, I'm going to be installing some components speakers in the front doors of my 03 double cab today. I would like to use the existing factory wiring for the tweets and mids. I am not running an amp to these and don't plan to. Question, the tweeter wiring is a different color than the mid. I took a dmm and checked continuity between the positive wires in both and they don't appear to be split. Anyone know if there is a factory crossover or base blocker etc anywhere? I plan to run the wires from the factory mid location into the new component crossover and then branch from there to the new mid and tweeter in the factory locations.

Will aftermarket tweeters work in those factory locations? (I.E. Direct fit?). I know on my 03 extra cab they must be custom mounted

 

I'm prepared to custom mount and retain factory look. Just looking at the wiring now between midrange and tweeter. I'd prefer not to run all new wiring through the door. Looking to confirm I can do this just from branching off where the factory wiring connected to the door woofer.
