I have a 2.5 or 3 inch spacer lift from toytec on a 2005 Toyota Tacoma I'm not sure if it's a 3 inch or 2.5 I bought the truck with it on. Is it normal to feel every bump in the road with it? The shocks I just changed to Bilstein 5100 all around but it's still a rough ride. Any input would help.

Unfortunately yes. Spacer lifts are not known for their superior ride quality to say the least. It's why I'm upgrading to an Icon stage 3 lift over my crappy factory shocks with my spacer lift... that is, if the parts ever get here... :annoyed:

shitty - too bad you didn't ask around a bit before throwing on those new shocks. You could have replaced the springs too with some Old Man Emu 885's to get a nice smooth riding 2.5" of lift.

Are the old man emu springs longer than stock springs?

Yes. That's where the lift comes from. Softer too I believe.

Do you recommend taking off the spacer and springs and replacing it with the longer old man emu springs? On the Bilstein 5100 I have currently.

Yes, the OME springs will replace your current spacer and stock spring setup, and can be used with the Bilstein 5100 shocks. Day and night difference over the spacer lift.

    Not softer.

Second gen OEM is 530 lbs. OME (non 886) is 590 lbs.

Eibach is 610 lbs. OME 886 is 660 lbs.

    what he said.

884 springs for 2" of lift and 885 springs for 2.5". both have the same spring rate so they will ride the same, just at different heights. 2" of lift is easier on your CV angles and will increase the likelihood of a good alignment without the need of aftermarket UCA's.

Does anyone know how to measure the spacer lift to actually see how much lift it gave? Some say it runs by inches others by millimeters.

Twice the measured height of the spacer.

I don't have a clue what you're talking about regarding units of measurement.

Pick one that you like and use it. I use inches because Murica.
