Just noticed this. Driver side rear shocks then passenger side rear shocks. Seal broken? Should I just monitor it? OME shocks btw and maybe been on for a year. Any advise would be great. When I get back home from San Diego planning to get on the bed and put some weight there, and see if it leaks dramatically or not.

The screw is leaking? The wiper seal is where the shaft enters the piston

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I would guess that's just road tar or something that got flung up there. Clean it off and check again after your next drive. If you want to, you could remove it and just look for visible cracks in but I likely wouldn't bother unless that stuff keeps coming back every time you wipe it off.

That's road debri, that part of the shock your looking at is the threaded end of a solid shaft.

Thanks, my OCD is always on full blast. Like always I shouldn't go full tard on it. Had some day light this morning and it looks like bits of it is on other parts of the vehicle. Hopefully it's road debris.
