    Couple questions...
    1) Anyone have audio/video of the sounds/symptoms of the seized cam bolts?
    2) Is there a reason people aren't just pulling out their stock cam bolts, sanding the rust off, and then greasing them?
    3) How are people getting the OEM bushings out?
    4) These look different from the energy bushings posted earlier. $81 seems like a decent deal. :D

I don't think anyone has reported using the energy bushings yet.

No sound made as they are seized. Usually out of alignment after a change in something. Can't take them out to clean them after they seize but that is the preventative measure. Need to be cut out. I think I'm going to try energy since they are multiple piece urethane I'd think servicing and replacing could be easier. I will see soon

Thanks for the reply. I recall seeing the OEM bushings needing to be cut out but I also saw something that stated an additional metal piece was required but not included with most bushing kits? What piece is that? The sleeve that goes around the bushing or on the inside?

#1- mine make a clank noise when the suspension flexes at all and my alignment cams can't be moved.

The reason for #2 is that the can get so seized that you need yo cut them in half to get them out.

If they're not too bad, you can tap them out, lube, and replace them one at a time.

#3, they might be able to be pressed out or might need to be burned out with a torch - I've read.

I too have heard some choose to burn them out. Is that a lengthy process? What kind of torch would I need? Just a simple propane style torch?

I would guess oxy/ acetylene, but I haven't crossed this bridge yet. I read that some say to just get new LCAs, but that's $500+ that I'd prefer to not spend if I didn't have to.

Very nice Rick. I'm going to try sanding mine down a bit. I'm certain I can get mine out but I believe they are a bit seized and pop/break loose when the truck is being turned into a parking spot or such. I'd imagine it's similar to what 58 Siesta was saying above. I suspect it's time for bushings too though. What I'm trying to figure out is if I get these bushings pushed out, do I need new metal sleeves or do the new ones just pop right in and I'm done?

Edit: Just saw the video on the energy suspension website. He says make sure NOT to remove the metal sleeves in the OEM control arms. If I get them pressed out, will the sleeve stay in there and only the bushing come out?

Diameter off hand? No. If I had to guess I would say 3/8" but don't quote me.

Has anyone figured out how to buy JUST the lower control arm bushings? I recently installed Icon upper control arms that included new bushings so I'm really only looking to refresh the lower control arm bushings.
