Now there is no one in this entire forum that I can find that has a camper for there taco. So does anyone that knows more about Tacoma's think that those camper shell will work on a Toyota Tacoma? http://www.lancecamper.com/truck-campers/650/ I think that it will be light enough.

Their lightest camper is listed as 1639lbs dry- too much for the lightweight Tacoma.

No idea what the first part of your post is about (and it comes across a bit condescending) as there are plenty of folks here with campers on their Tacomas, there's even a sub forum for shells and such, but if you want more info then I would recommend checking out Expedition Portal http://expeditionportal.com/forum/ or Wander The West for more relative content. On ExPo, scroll down to hard side and pop-up camper sections.

This looks like a troll, so FYI my response is not a bite.

Truck campers are for big trucks. I've done the truck camper thing with a T100 and a Tundra ('06). Not enough truck. You want a Lance? 3/4 ton or 1 ton. Period.

I'll also say, in my experience truck campers have been a raw deal. At least on a 1/2 ton, too much weight on the truck to do ANY even semi-aggressive 4-wheeling. And isn't that the point of a truck camper? Being able to get further out there? Also, everything you take with you has to be either inside the camper, inside your cab, or lashed to the outside somehow. PITA.

If you actually want to do this with a Taco, your truck camper needs to be like 800 lbs or less dry. Because as soon as you use it for anything you'll be putting 300 lbs or more of stuff in it.

    My $.02
