Cold Air Intake?

As has been pointed out our stock trucks already have a cold air intake.

Cold air defiantly gives more power. I recall driving up stevens pass long ago in a 1961 mercedes benz 190. The air intake was under the hood where it got hot air. When I went into the shade I felt more power. I had the throttle almost wide open, it was not a powerful car. I have noticed no such behavior with my tacoma because it has much more power and a factory cold air intake.

So I did the math wrong ...... I'm sorry !!


So only 3.0 to 3.75 hp increase and if NA that's not much but in boosted applications that's even better . Think how much hp increase with a ice bath air water intercooler with intake air temps in the 40 deg range

It also depends on your DA or corrected elev
