Vacuum modulator

    2017 tacoma TRD off road
    I had the po402 code for excessive flow. I have already replaced egr valve and still have the code after resetting. My question is what's the possibility that the vacuum modulator is the problem? This part is an easy fix and I'm hoping for the best. I also have already inspected all hoses and made sure they were connected correctly and everything checked out. Thanks for any help!

    I see them go bad pretty frequently.

    The modulator is more likely to be the problem than the valve (what most 'mechanics' automatically replace).
