That's a day ruiner...I agree, Utah drivers suck! I just stay in the right lanes and watch the havoc unfold in the left three lanes during my commute to work every morning.

What I find amazing is all the upstanding people that are risking life and limb in the middle of a high speed road to help someone in trouble. As a Canadian, that's what I think about whenever I think about Americans - someone who will always come to the aid of the less fortunate, even if it puts them at considerable risk.

Yeah, I agree! I noticed the guy in the Ford on the right side sprinting down the shoulder to render aid. It is admirable! I don't like getting out of my vehicle on our freeways...even when I have all my emergency equipment activated (red and blues).

Thankfully that motorcyclist didn't get caught up in this accident (left lane)

How's that? SUV is guy backing out of driveway, PT Cruiser is mailbox. If SUV makes contact with Tacoma there is no question who is at fault, as it is Tacoma is likely at fault.

Instead of that, why don't you provide some documentation for your "claim".

That being said. It is obviously the fault of the Dark SUV.

I do agree with the statement " What a police report says and what your insurance decides can be two very different outcomes. ".

The PT Cruiser driver DID pull over. It's right there in the video. He swerves to avoid the Tacoma then pulls off to the left shoulder right in front of him.

Also the accident was the Tacoma owners fault, you never swerve out of your lane like that. Massive over correction that caused a major accident. There was no reason for the Tacoma to whip over into the other lane like that. Just honk, or take the hit, but don't involve more cars than you have to.
He probably won't be found at fault for the whole accident, but he'll probably get blamed for at least some of it.

Hope he's ok. That's a Gen 1 so no curtain airbags.

If he really felt guilt, he would call the state police and tell them that he thinks he may have caused an accident.

I doubt the driver in the black SUV felt any guilt. If anything, he was probably laughing as he drove off.

I'd bet black suv gets traffic violation if caught at best. As bad as it sucks he didn't contact either vehicle. He technically didn't have to stop. By the looks of it it'll come back to them and bite their ass hard.

All 3 vehicles that changed lanes in the video used their turn signals. Just sayin.

Of course I'm not going to defend Utah drivers - it's a jungle out here.
My theory is that most Utah drivers don't need to use blinkers much since they're planted in the left lane doing 5 under.
