heck yeah with your current setup it's very capable! Take it out and see what you can do. With another driver who's done it before

The regular 4x4 on the sport is still very capable. Many members wheel their sports and they do great. The only things you are missing out on are the rear locker and atrac. You can easialy put front and rear arb lockers in if you want to be really serious later on.

The diff locker is really the only difference worth mentioning at this point. You can add one cheaper than all that stuff you just listed and with your tires and suspension you'd be MORE capable than a stock TRD Off Road.

Right on that's what I wanted to hear. I'm just missing the locker and wish I had a trac.
So I have the auto lsd right? There's no buttons for it... So I'm assuming it stays on. Can someone help me understand auto lsd? It just kicks in when the when's are slipping right? To slow them down so I keep traction? Am I correct or way off. Lol

Increase your driving skills. Learn recovery skills. Improve the truck in areas it causes a problem, once the driver is not the problem. (an old performance driving school adage, works offroad as well)

Don't build a lemming truck from catalogs. Build what works for you as you use the truck.

But when you do make a change or upgrade, use good stuff, do it once, do it right.

The 12 Sport dioesn't have a true LSD in the 3rd member. Instead, the ABS system is used as a psudo LSD. Wheel speed sensors determine rear wheel slip angle and the ABS system applies differential braking to the rear wheels.

Look up the "yellow wire mod", you can activate the auto-LSD for the front, to act as a poor mans ATRAC. It won't simulate lockers front and rear like ATRAC, but it will run the simulated LSD front and rear, which can be an improvement over the open front diff. Best of all it doesn't cost anything.

did some research on the yellow wire mod. so what i understand from it is, since i don't have trac or atrac, the yellow wire mod tricks my truck to do trac in 4lo, reducing wheel slippage by activating abs?

Correct. Except you do have trac in the rear. What the yellow wire mod does is enable it in 4low and add trac to the front. It will reduce wheel slippage transferring some power to the tire across the axle with more traction.

I do have trac in the rear? I don't have any switches for trac or a trac... is the trac you are talking about my auto lsd?
