running lockouts on a '99.

    4.88 gears, marlin crawler, 4" lift,lockers front and rear,33x10.5 swampers, header, u-bolt flip kit,relocated shocks in rear,walker muffler, pinion e-brake conversion,9000 ramsey winch.
    I am considering putting lockout hubs on my Tacoma. What is all needed to do this conversion? Is it worth it? Thank you

    Gotcha. Musta read that wrong... Anyways. I got no experience for manual hubs so i cant say much about them.

    Pros-
    Less front drivetrain wear
    Slightly SLIGHTLY better mpgs
    Reliable engagement vs add
    Option of 2 low

    Cons-
    Weaker cvs
    Gota manually engage them (obviously)
    Parts can be a little harder to find


    Personally im a lazy bastard and the add never let me down yet so i choose it.

    Bilsteins, OME 881's, 3-leaf AAL, Detroit TruTrac, Tundra brake swap, Michelin LTX AT2, Tranny skidplate, TC skidplate, CBI rear bumper, TG sliders, UltraGauge, PowerTank, Reverse Camera
    You'll need the following parts from a donor 'manual hub' Tacoma:
    - spindles
    - CV axles
    - differential
    - finally, the 'lockout hubs'

    One more Pro:
    - longer lasting CV axle boots
