Hey y'all so Ive been doing some research on modding my truck to get some more juice out of it. i have a 2012 TRD sport 4x4 DCSB.
So from what I've grasped with the Yellow Wire Mod... I do this and it tricks my truck into "TRAC" while in 4lo, thus reducing wheel slippage through the ABS system. I understand that and the whys to it. What i don't understand is this other mod I've been reading about, the ABS kill switch mod. Why exactly would i want to kill my abs system? Doing this also turns off VSC and the auto LSD correct? Turning the ABS kill switch on would also stop the yellow wire mod from working too right? So why would i want to have an ABS kill switch? why would i want to turn off what is keeping my truck traction in offload conditions?
Thanks for the help guys... Im trying to learn!

ABS at many times is not your friend. Icy/snowy roads you want any tire with traction to try and stop the vehicle, not both tires across the axle to stop at the same speed (what ABS does).

If you have one tire in the front and one tire in the rear with traction, and the other tires with none on ice, ABS will disable the brakes (pulsate) on the tires with traction, to match that of the lowest common denominator tire with no traction. This results in reduced stopping ability, but saves people that don't know how to brake and steer at the same time by preventing any tire from locking up.

I've had a couple of times where ABS decided to kick in at slow speed coming to a stop sign on ice. It can definitely be a shitty deal when you are basically slipping into an intersection at crawl speed because the ABS thinks it knows how to brake better than you do.

ABS put my truck in the ditch the first month I had it. I refuse to take responsibility for it because if I were in my jeep which never had abs, I would of turned the wheel and hauled ass down the road without thinking twice about when I lost traction.
Truck took over and did its own thing.
Abs has to go before next winter.
