I have an 09 Tacoma with 145k miles on it. Ever since I've lifted it I have noticed this shimmy feeling from 1st to 2nd gear. All other gears is fine. I was told it was the carrier bearing gone bad and replaced that. It went awY for about a month or so. Then after research I installed the bearing drop kit which is pictured. That helped with the vibrations but not with the shimmy feeling. My set up is bilstein 5100 in the front with OME 887 coils and OME dakars in the rear.

Has anyone had this same problem? If so what can I do to get rid of this annoying feeling

The steering wheel does move when I'm driving. It was doing it before I put the new tires and rims on it. I do not have an axle shimmy kit. I was reading up on that some today

    Just a few LEDs...
Still sounds like a worn carrier bearing to me even though you said you replaced it. Can you fell any play?

Oh wait... have you checked your cats?

I think recall hearing somewhere that a bad cat could cause a shimmy.

Everything was tight when I checked last night. The shop told me they think my drive shaft is not balanced and they want to take it completely off and bring it to a shop and get it balanced.
