2016 TRDOR DCLB tech & towing package. This is behind the air filter box and in front of the firewall. What is it designed to hold?

No that's all on the drivers side. I've now noticed another set of mounting points on the inner fender on each side. image.jpg image.jpg

Hmm. Maybe it's a mounting bracket for some California emissions components that your non-Cali vehicle doesn't have to have.

I think Toyota gave us the option to customize. And mount anything you can think of there.

The ones on the driver side fender are for the clutch hydraulic fluid reservoir on manual transmission trucks.
    Handy.

Pretty sure there is an ABS block mounted there on the trucks without ATRAC. That block been giving the non-OR dual-battery guys fits.

:help: The toyota trucks are not made for just the U.S.A In the U.S the steering wheel is mounted on the left side of the truck but for just about every other region of the world the steering , brakes and numerus other items are mounted on the right side. Those are probably some of those attachment points. My best guess anyway.

It's for mounting the ABS modulator. Off road models have it built into the master cylinder so the space is open.

Hadnt considered that. Makes good sense to me!

Either way, I now have 3 new places already ready for me to mount stuff on!

And that makes sense too because my master cylinder obviously has a brain larger than mine fastened to it.

I wish I had that space to mount a compressor or a second battery. Plus to offset the weight on the driver side.

Yeah, but I thought they were called HiLuxs and were pretty different from Tacomas?
