@spacecat LC, it is NOT hard to do the front brakes at all! I just bought Autozone rotors and brake pads (semi-metallics are pretty common nowadays). I bought brake cleaner because you want to clean the cosmoline off of the rotors (i.e. the oily substance that you will notice if you were to buy new rotors). Other than that, just do small circles with fine grit sandpaper to the surface of your rotors and clean with the brake cleaner.
    NOTE:
Also not pictured are a small c-clamp and a small piece of 0.5inx2in rectangular piece of wood that I had to push the brake piston back into the caliper. Do this to both sides until the brake cylinders are JUST about flush... keyword "JUST". DO NOT PUSH THEM IN TOO FAR!!!
Other than that, VERY, VERY EASY to work on the front brakes. If you need help, I'm not too far away from you that I know of? Anyways, it's very easy to do. The ONLY hard part, for me, was to clean the "guide rails" for the brake pads because I didn't want to "kink" the brake line and/or overstress it by anykind of twisting that does get involved!!! Either way, I HIGHLY advise to use some sort of grease (HIGH temp grease) so that the brake pads will "slide" more evenly and easier when the brakes are applied!!! That I know of, brake shops will NOT go this extra step, which is why I would rather do the brakes myself, if and whenever possible!!!
Finally, I did the rears as well (on yours they SHOULD be drums). I just don't have any pictures of it. Even if I do, it is only AFTER everything was reassembled. Also, I believe it was @MadTaco461 that stated, "you look like you just came out of a coal mine..."!!! YES, THAT is VERY MUCH TRUE!!! LMAO!!! There are ways to prevent this, but I personally didn't like the idea of spraying brake cleaner/chemicals ALL over the place for various reasons. I will TRY to find those pictures of my rear brake drum, I believe it was only 2x pictures.
I hope this KINDA helps and/or at least gives some helpful input on what I advise to do???

Good luck and hope you are able to get your friends to help out. I will be willing to help if you need it, okay. Anyways... I did my front/rear brakes about 3wks ago now and this is a picture just taken last night near the Palomar Observatory on some dirt road going up the mountain with a few ruts, pot-holes, and tiny little whoops (LOL)! My friend in O'side just got his truck the day before (literally) and wanted to go out on a quick run. So it was a VERY impromtu run!!! LOL!!! My 1st gen is the one in the back, LOL!!! As ALWAYS, I NEVER seem to have my GOOD camera with me so I had to use a little mp3 player that I have that can take pictures, LOL!!!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Back from Ventura. Been up since 4am... so.. there's that.

In case anyone is curious this whole transition from Verizon to Frontier is a COMPLETE. CLUSTER. FUCK.

A tech support guy from TPAC told me he was involved in an 8 POTS line order and the idiots at Frontier dispatched 8 service techs out to install the lines on: the same day, to the same address, at the same time....
