Brace yourselves... Long time JEEP guy here =) But needed a pickup so I bought me a taco.

Just got it this month. 2001 SR5 4x4

So far pleased with the truck, but there are a few things that need attention. For one, the struts are completely shot making for a very rough ride... Can't wait to fix this. If only $$$ grew on trees.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and post a photo of my new truck.

Nice truck! Get you some bilstein 5100s for that bad boy! You can find them all day on ebay.

The 5100's are what I am thinking too. Trying to keep it close to stock for now, as I know how deep the aftermarket rabbit hole goes.

 

Welcome! Yup, Bilstein 5100's are a very popular and inexpensive aftermarket shock around these parts. If you get the whole set (fronts and rears), the fronts are adjustable up to 3" (with the factory coils).

 

Oh and good call picking up a first (best) gen Tacoma!
