    Hey guys,
It's been a while since I have been in the Tacoma threads but I just sold my built 100 series and picked up a 2016 trd offroad to build up and for r&d.
I have a lot of plans for this truck.
First up was lift and tires, I went with a cheep lift until arb came out with the bp-51 kit, now that that kit is avalible I will be ordering that next week.
For the tires I went with 34x11r17 ko2s.
    Next was the front bumper,
There are several reasons I did not want to go full replacement but wasn't sure where I was going to go with it until I started cutting. I decided to mount a little lower than most as I felt retaining the factory fog light location and filling with 6" led really complemented the lines of the truck but gets rid of the fat lip look.
Hope you guys like it. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Thanks, I did. It's based off my 100 series bumper.
Looks like you build some pretty nice stuff yourself!

I love that bumper and they way it sits along the front. Makes the rig look like an absolute tank. Bad Ass.
What kind of welding setup do you have?

Those recessed fog/led lights are awesome, great use of that space. Did you just cut that black plastic out?

The black part comes out with clips and then I cut the internals that the factory fog light attaches to out.

That is the best looking bumper I've seen yet. I love how you blended it into the OEM body lines...JUST AWESOME!

    Thanks!
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, it got rid of the things I didn't like about the front like the big fat lip over bite look but kept all the lines I do like.

    Thanks,
The bumper is modular so the wings bolt on to the center with the caps that form the recovery points, there is also going to be some tube work that will bolt on when I get some free time.

Thanks, been doing it on the side for over 15 years, getting ready to jump into it full time. I need to add a few more products before I do that. This was my main reason for selling my 100 series and getting the Tacoma, I will soon have a full line of armor for the 3rd gen.

Just ordered the ome bp-51 kit, arb dual compressor and a all the bits and pieces for what I think will be a good dual battery system.
Here are a few pics of the 100 series stuff I build, I will be doing a similar rear swing out on the Tacoma as well, it has a slam style bear claw latch with an intagrated paddle relese that forms the end cap for the swing arm, there are gas springs that hold it open.
There are no pop pins, simply pull the lever and it opens and slam shut when done . Can't wait to get the rear on the Tacoma!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
