The other day I was driving between 60-75 mph (crowded I-state traffic). As my speed accelerated the speedometer increased smoothly. However as I decelerated from speeds above 60 the speedometer would drop in 4-5 mph increments. Below 60 the speedometer would decrease smoothly at all speeds. This is a very MINOR issue and I'm damn sure NOT going to take it to a dealer and let them try to do something about it. Unlike some on the forum I have had no intermittent odometer reset issues (keeping my fingers crossed) and feel it is best to "leave well enough alone." I've had the truck for almost 6 months and have about 6K on the clock and so far...so good. As I stated in a post in another thread, my only issues have been a replacement of the driver's side rear door window seal and having the transmission level checked (1 qt. low). Both were done at 3K. Just curious if anyone has noticed this on their speedometer.

A few users have had this problem. A few I think said it went away or hasn't done it as much. Best to go to the dealer and have them swap the cluster

I had that issue happen once the speedometer hand was jumping in big increments then when I speed back up almost 80 mph it stopped at 60! Good thing the digital speed is available! I started a thread back than but was never resolved. Someone said it could be transmission fluid level I checked mine and it was 1.2 low can't say that was the fix for it but it never did that since! It's been about 5 month.

Even if the dealer (who I admit as been great) offered to change out the cluster I think I'm going to leave it be for now. As "picky" as I am with my truck, that really doesn't bother me that much. If I'm having to slow down from 75 to 60 or lower quickly, I probably don't need to be looking at the speedometer:eek:. I did have the transmission fluid checked and mine was (invoice documented) 1 qt. low. Seems like I only noticed it after the fluid was added...go figure.

This is how the manufactures find and figure out problems. You "dealing" with it or trying to fix yourself does little to hold them or someone accountable
