For anyone looking for an alternative to the t slot nuts for the bed rail, Lowes has spring nuts in the electrical isle. They had 3/8" ones that I got and they fit in the bed rail well, they do not rotate after putting them in, they just snap in as is, I will post a pic. $4 or something for 5 of em . And you don't have to slide them in from the end of the rail.... I'm building a hi lift mount and shovel/axe/fire extinguisher mounts.

It took me forever to find them and nobody that worked at the store had ever seen them before apparently.

You did melt a hole...

 

Filling a rather large gap on the fuck you leg... I had to hold it in relatively the same spot for longer than a normal weld... All the other welds went down fine. I don't count that as melting a hole because it wasn't a normal flush weld

Can anyone tell me what size the lower shock (rear) bolt is? I seem to have misplaced one on my travels.

What size press did you get, I need to straighten out a few plates.

 

His build says 20" press.

 

Is that bed width or stroke length?

 

It's bed width. My trans skid was wide enough to fit in the press rails itself at 21" but his jig to make a bend was only 20" so it was just shy of being too big to fit IIRC

Rotated tires today. Noticed drivers side CV shaft has excezz movent at the diff. Guessing needles bearing issue at the diff?

 

So that much movement is apparently normal. Guess it is time for the bushing mod.
