Brand new Deavers delivered today with bent leaf

Brown Santa delivered the first of several lift parts ordered through MCM Fab today. Deaver U402 leaf packs for my 16 Taco. I got them home, and gave them a good look. I have discovered the 2nd leaf is bent close to the spring eye on one spring. The bent leaf does not fit tightly against the 1st leaf like it does on the other spring, nor is the double wrap as tight as the other. There is a 1/4" gap in the center of the bend between the two leaves. I do not know if this will cause an adverse effect on the pack. What I do know is at $820 this is not acceptable, and Deaver should replace the pack with out a hiccup. I have read some unflattering customer service stories about Deaver. What potential problems could this pack cause? Would you install this pack as is? Either way it's going back, but I would like some of your opinions.

 

contact MCM fab, they should contact Deaver. I've had nothing but good service from Deaver. I had the DMZ sua kit installed, and my truck leaned to the driver side. Deaver gave me a price to re arch them, did this while I waited. When they were finished they asked if they were new I said yes they said no charge and bring it back if it happens again.
