aloha everyone! i currently own a 2000 toyota tacoma v6. i purchased it from an old man and had 150k miles on it. im totally in love with this vehicle. i am new to this truck. it is a 4wd, automatic. i really dont know how to use the 4wd system. if anyone can kindly help me out explaining the step by step procedures, i would really appreciate it. again im new to this forum and im pretty excited that theres so much potential in this classic truck. btw, does anyone selling all four OEM mud flaps with "4WD" ?

while parked and wheels are straight (not turned), lock in the manual hubs in the front by turning clockwise, shift the small stick 4H (4 wheel drive high), put it in drive. Don't put it in 4 wheel drive while on pavement, only in dirt or offroad. For slower speeds, put in neutral or park, shift small stick to 4L (4 wheel drive low), put into drive. Only shift the small stick in and out of 4 wheel drive while at a full stop. When done offroading, put into neutral or park, shift the small stick back to 2H (2 wheel drive high), put in drive to disengage, creep forward till you hear it "click" or the 4wheel drive light goes off. Sometimes you may have to put it into reverse then back in drive to get it to disengage, just keep you wheels as straight as you can. Finally, park with wheels straight, unlock hubs by turning counter clockwise (you should see marking on hubs that say "lock" and "unlock"), put in drive and you should hear the hubs "click" to unlock. They are tough to turn by hand, just be sure your wheels are straight and you're on a relatively flat surface and you should get it.

Let us know if you have trouble. Remember, don't use 4 wheel drive on pavement, especially when making hard turns. You can use 4 wheel high while driving through a rainstorm on pavement but avoid tight turns.
