We have the same # fill ups on our fuelly badges but I'm nearly 4mpg higher. That's my genius on display.

That's only if you are "Driving while towing, using a car-top carrier, or heavy vehicle loading" - Not exactly normal circumstances.

Dealers are middleman to Toyota the manufacturer who are in business to make a profit I can assure you if there was a way to make money changing out "Toyota the manufacturer radio" the dealer would do it and get paid.

I tried the video approach with my local dealership for humming noise in the door when it hits the wind the right way. Service manager had me fwd it to his phone for the technician to see, still wouldn't do anything about it since they couldn't replicate the problem during the hour it was in the service drive. (Even with the TSB for the issue)

OP- I see you are in Ocala, curious to see if dealer will do anything about your issue even with a video as suggested earlier in this thread.

I couldn't agree more... Starting to think warranty is worthless, at least in Orlando.

They'll fix it if you can point your finger at the problem and what part they need to replace. Otherwise, no dice, they're not getting paid to chase a ghost and it may actually end up costing them $$ if the factory finds there's nothing wrong with the part they replaced.
    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

My wife was able to take a video of the head unit powering down while driving. I can't wait to hear their response.

I looked at trucks at Toyota of Orlando but ended up buying from deluca Toyota. Their motto is "Toyota makes the car, Deluca makes the difference". Time to test that!

Haha... Based on my experiences with FL dealerships thus far I wouldn't hold my breath. I purchased at central fl toyota, already had low expectations for service but was surprised when they wouldn't address the issue with video proof and tsb when I dropped the truck off for 10k oil/rotation service. Said technician "got the truck up to 70mph but couldn't replicate the issue and only noticed noise coming from the aggressive tires".

I'm in Seattle right now. Going to bring my Tacoma in for its 10500 mile service. I just drove from Tampa Florida. I still have 2800 miles to go till I get to Homer Alaska lol. Even though I did my own oil change at 5666 miles, they will do another one. Truck has been great on this long trip. Taken it off road in some spots.
