Can't get anyone to bite on this? Does nobody with a first gen use a stubby antenna?

Subbing... I would love a stubby antenna the Andre the Giant version has passed what is nowadays modern-ish.

I got one of those police / old school car phone looking ones at AutoZone because I was scraping the stock one in parking garages. The reception is garbage but it's not any worse than the stock antenna. I never listen to the radio anyways. iPod 4ever

My stock antenna works great. It receives many stations that none of my other vehicles get.
    Stubbies just don't look right.

I actually jumped the gun after seeing a few being used on google images. Stupid me didn't even realize they were all second gens. I actually bought the antenna from my local dealer. The only problem I seem to be having is the threaded end of the antenna isn't long enough to reach the female threads in the hole.

i have my stock one. i bent it all up the other day trying to help the local police get a baby out of a car before they smashed the window. i ended up getting the door open. i told the mother and grandma to get spares made and leave them on the stroller since thats the last thing they are loading so they will have an extra key with them.
