I looking for the best way to clean off the road salt that comes with the snow also. I have been taking it to a self serve touchless car wash that has an "undercarriage" spray.
However, in the back of my mind, I wonder if I should go to one of those places when the engine is hot because it looks like the side spray jets could possibly spray onto the hot engine through the wheel wells. On the Tacoma, there is an opening allowing a direct view to the engine from the wheel wells. The water coming out of the jets at the place I go is not very warm.

I have a brush I got at costco that has a black rubber squeegy side and an expandable handle. I also have seen now a smaller version of the foam block type the area dealers use that do not mar the finish. They are like $20 bucks. The costco one works great.

As far as the salt, I use the power spray and touchless undercarriage wash and haven't had a problem in years. Its so much better than the brushes and rags that the old style wash places used. I hate the salt though execpt on the black ice we have had for the last 4 days. Then its a godsend.

Now if you mean snow from daily driving, I'll leave it until I actually go for a car wash. Then I'll just go to my local outdoor high pressure car washing stop.

no space as in too much junk in the garage?

If I lived up north I would definately clean all my shit out of the garage and park in it. but wait...I could never live up north...too cold and miserable for me.

The only thing in my garage is car stuff, all my tools, and my truck. I live in GA and my garage is insulated and I keep it heated with one of those radiator oil filled space heaters and its not near as cold down here as up north :D I'm not much of a packrat..if I haven't used it in more than 1-2 years its thrown out or given away. I hate clutter.

I wish I could wash my truck this week but its supposed to be below freezing all week so all the car washes are closed and im afraid my driveway will freeze. I usually hook my hose up to my hot water heater and wash with warm water in the winter.

The last two snows have been light and dry so I have used a leaf blower. Worked like a champ.
