That drama seemed manufactured for TV.

Finally got up to Alaska for a vacation and took a flight around Denali with a landing on Ruth Glacier. We had an amazing time.

He just flew to Dallas, but didn't come to my airport. Would have been fun to work that arrival.
I watched that. I thought it was pretty interesting
That looks like so much fun

That looks incredible! That is on my bucket list for sure.

Must be a De Havilland Otter, but it kind of looks like the Pilatus PC-6 Porter from that angle.

...^^^... Very nice indeed ... got to spend time in AK, NWT and north of Edmondton ... fun place to visit for short periods of time, i.e. spring thru fall. Kinda lived in PQ and saw it hit -44 in northern PQ. Yellow Knife in winter was difficult.

Had some friends who were bush pilots in BC, AK & NWT and flew with them (in BC mainly) some, but never got to go on a .... "for fun only - official vacation fishing cabin trip".

True, the plane could be recycled to something useful, instead of its current purpose.

It would be a shame if the cabin decompressed in flight and the passenger cabin oxygen masks failed to deploy. A damn shame.

My friend got his hat blown off by a Conquest shutting down earlier and I almost lost mine. Those Garrett engines are so loud!

I noticed a C17 and AN-124 sitting on the ramp at NUQ today (NUQ almost describes what was allegedly kept there at one time...). Amazing how much bigger the Ant was.

...^^^... My first commercial flight was as a little kid flying alone on a Piedmont DC3 to Chicago.

Back then, you could pay full fare for a child and stewardess would ride beside you and put you on and off aircraft. :)

I still remember looking out the window and seeing all the cool squares on the ground that were Indiana farm fields.

Awesome shots man, I was at Maxwell AFB, AL during that outbreak and we and a buncha buddies went down there to help that next day, total devestation, I was just in awe (even for a WX guy) it was just shocking. Here is one picture I took the rest were crappy phone pics, that just didn't do the storm justice.

Assortment of pics from certain places, most of you mil who have deployed will most likely recognize some of them. Others are just awesome sunsets I took a snap of (not a fancy camera by any means sorry). Oh and our MX guys had a really sweet tricked out (in the Afghan fashion) Hilux (blue LEDS EVERYWHERE!).
