2010 Tacoma with TRD cold air intake and exhaust only 25,000 original miles. The paint on the lower fender above the exhaust tip is turning black. The truck is garage kept, cleaned regularly, and no check engine light. Any ideas? The truck is well maintained but I just noticed this the other day. It doesn't seem to smoke or anything either.

    Normal.

Almost all modern motors run a bit rich, intentionally, from the factory.

    Just clean it off regularly.
