Personally, I really hope it has a bracket for my wench. That dumb wench is always falling off the front of my truck

I apologize in advance for the bugs. Haven't had time to wash the truck yet.

If you want to cut the slat out you can access the clutch from the front.

    LostSherpa,

Do you think you gain much in approach angle? It seems like the tow lugs stick out about as far as the stock "fat lip".

Do you think it would be possible to rig up some sort of handle to operate the clutch on the winch through the grill/vent?

    Oh yeah: Looks awesome!

One of the best bumpers I've seen so far. I really like the slim look then a huge bumper. Understated but effective. Did you get to weight it before it was fully mounted?

I love the bumper, but this is the main thing, I wonder if the approach angle is improved.

But it is very good looking. Might just go this route.

+1 for a less aggressive and aluminum version.

I really just want to protect against tall grass and get rid of the fat lip in the process.

Hopefully the OP can pass along the info to SSO. I bet a number of other folks will be interested as well.

I'm really not sure about the approach angle. I took the truck out with the stock bumper, on a pretty technical trail, with about 10 other trucks who all had lifts and everyone was so impressed with how the Tacoma was handling everything with no problems. So, to me even if the approach angle is the same then I still have a more than capable truck. Now I have more bash protection and some solid recovery options.

Unfortunately we didn't get the weight. I know it's something they're going to get when they start selling. I think everyone was just excited to get it on the truck!
