Stupid and Quick question about Hazards lights (4 ways)

I just noticed tonight that when I have my Hazard lights (4 ways) on that the button doesn't flash. Almost every Japanese vehicle I have owned in the past, the button always flashed along with the 4 ways. The button does illuminate when the headlights are on but no flashing. I was hoping someone can chime in and tell me if this is normal or my truck just is not functioning correctly.

 

Nor does mine..2010. Wife's 2005 Rav4 doesn't either..

I know it's a petty question but after having the 4 ways on earlier and noticing this it got me curious.

 

Only noticed euros doing that.
I've own 29 Japanese cars and none have done that feature

 

I have never seen a vehicle where it flashes in the interior.
