I currently have rancho 9000xl quick lift struts with 1.75" lift but have been considering switching to bilstein 5100s.
The Rancho seemed like a better idea at the time because they have 9 different stiffness settings and provided my desired amount of lift and they cost a bit less.
The only trail riding I do is on my Fu@#ed up countrt road which is riddled with pot holes, old repaired pothole mounds, and asphault ripples. When i drive over them at 35mph my truck shakes and rattles like a bastard!
I would really like some opinions and info on the ride quality difference between these 2 products.

my friend put some rachos on his jeep and he hated them.

I have bilstein 5100s for my fronts and haven't felt any difference from stock. Then again im only set at 1"

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
They both preload your springs to yield the lift therefore its all about the valving of the shocks to if you have TRD springs or non progressive rated stock springs. If you want something better in ride quality and lift your truck at the same time. I suggest saving your money (don't buy another adjustable shocks ie 5100's if you already own Rancho Quick Lifts) and get some OME coils with either 5100's at the lowest setting or OME shocks.
