Hi all. Anyone have a setup with a lockable bed cover AND a single bed ladder/bed rack?

I already have roof racks but I'd love to use only one rack and then have a ladder rack as my second point to get more distance between the 2. I also need to have a bed cover that can lock.

I currently have a bakflip (I don't want bakflip racks) and can't think of any way to make it work. I'm at the point where I might be willing to replace the bakflip if I can find a solution.

    Anyone?

Hey did you figure this out? I am in the same situation at the moment. Why dont you want to use the bakflip racks?

No, sorry have not solved this yet. The bakflip racks are expensive and ugly.

I'm almost tempted to visit the local fabrication shop.

I don't know if it'd be the best solution for you, but you could perhaps benefit from a hitch-mounted rack like Thule's goal post, to work in conjunction with your cab rack. It would limit the amount your tailgate can open, which might not work for you, and it requires you to have a hitch. It's not the most convenient setup, but it allows me to "lock" my solid-fold bed cover, and the gate opens enough to get at the cover's latches, so it can be accessed with the hitch rack installed.
