    Hey all,

Quick question for you. I put a BAMF IFS skid on my truck and I need to get my oil changed. There is an access hole for getting a socket up to get the drain plug removed but my question is:

Should I drop the skid so the service monkeys at the dealership don't cross thread anything getting the bolt back in or should it be no big deal?

And to preempt the suggestion to change the oil myself to make sure it's done right (which I could do if I needed to), I bought a service contract when I purchased this truck to cover any mechanical problems that should pop up for a $50 deductible per service issue so to get my money out of the plan they need to look at the truck periodically.

Mounting hardware is fine. I just don't know if I need to drop it because it is about 75 - 80lbs - more a pain in the ass to drop than anything but definitely doable with my low tranny jack in 15 minutes.

I'd drop it. I take mine off if i need any work that requires its removal. It has special spacers from a diff drop. I'm afraid the guys would lose the hardware.

Yep I ended up dropping it. I'm going to install a Fumoto on the next change I think. Then I can just plug a hose on the nipple as needed, everything stays nice and clean and no more dropping the skid.
