Mine did too. Don't want to use them. Those pieces were too tall and made shit worse. They didn't let sides be sealed against bedrails like it is without them, didn't want some strip of crap stuck on top of tailgate that'd come off if the cover wasn't holding it down or something hit it loading the bed with cover folded up or off the truck & like I said not enough water getting in for me to be concerned with it.

I had ARE covers on two previous trucks. Great cover. Always bone dry, never a drop of water. Have a revolver on the Tacoma. Like it, but it does let water in

Probably the Undercove SE or the Elite would keep your bed dry also.

I just received my Diamondback SE cover, and cannot get the clamps to fit. I loosen the bolt as much as possible, and still not enough. I suspect either the bedrail caps must be removed, or I got the wrong clamps. Did you have to remove the bed rail caps in order for the clamps to fit?

I just received my Diamondback SE cover. I cannot get the clamps to fit over the bedrails. I loosen the bolt as much as possible, with no luck. I notice you did not remove your bed rail caps. I was curious if removing the bed rail caps would resolve my issue. If not, I may have received the wrong clamps. I have considered getting longer bolts, but am determined to make it work. I was curious if you had any insight with this issue. I have called Diamondback, but they don't work weekends. Hopefully I just overlooked something very simple. Any advice is appreciated.

I just realized I posted same problem twice :frusty: I figure I'll leave as is. Sorry if that causes any confusion.
I should have done a multi-quote, but I'm too lazy to figure it out.:D

Update on my Diamondback SE truck cover clamp issue: I emailed Diamondback last night for help on the clamps not fitting between my truck's track and the Diamondback center panel. I received a reply this morning stating they shipped me the wrong clamps.:annoyed: Well you can understand my frustration even further when I received another email showing the correct clamps have been ordered, but not shipped. The estimated ship date is this Friday, July 1st, during a holiday weekend. That means at least a week and a day before I get them. I assume they have to make them, and don't keep in stock. I'm not a happy camper. I'll get over it but just needed to vent.

I have emailed Diamondback asking why the delay on shipping. I will update when I get a response.

As much as I liked the Extang Hard Fold cover, I soon discovered their warranty is bogus, they avoid having to do any warranty work what so ever from parts to labor. I broke a clamp and they would not cover it. Instead they sent me instructions on how to cut the trac and replace it myself.....after buying the replacement clamp. For $36 I will never consider Extang ever again. Extang = Stinky Pootang.

I have one as well and love it. My issue was being able to utilize the bed divider, the covers that require you drop the rails makes the divider useless.

Really? I had one of my securing handles break and they sent me out a new one right away, no cost.

Rugged Liner E Series soft folding. Bought it for less than $200 through my vendor.

    Pros:
    Easily Installed/Removable
    Lightweight
    Suffcient holding when folded
    No additional noises

    Cons:
Not secure, in this in less than 30 seconds with a pocket knife, maybe 45 seconds with a key.
Not water tight, however after powerwashing my truck there was only make 2 or 3 cups worth of water in the bed floor.

I'll upgrade to a hard folding once the bank account recovers from buying the truck.
