Absolutely. Between measuring truck, modeling bumper, changing it multiple times because you missed a small detail or came up with a better design idea or manufacturing improvement, then putting it all on paper to release to production. It.takes.time. haha. Sometimes I feel like I am going crazy. Oh, then you run one and realized you missed something, or it just doesnt look right, or you have a better way to build it, then go back and change it again. Ask my partner @jowybyo , he and I share the tasks and damn does it suck sometimes.

It is taking us longer than most to come out with bumpers but for good reasons. Its only two of us to handle all the sliders, recovery bars, bed accessories, designing, prototyping, accounting, built and manage our own website and customer service. Our number one concern is customer service. You call us, we answer same day. Hell, my cell number is our vendor page so I can andwer immediately. Plus when we make something, we make sure it is arguably the best, strongest product money can buy. Weve literally redesigned and built the back bumper for the second gen Taco 6 or more times before we finally got it where we wanted it.

Yeah. @Sub-Zero a couple of pages ago you called another guy a dick. I think, no offense, it's mildly offensive to say that every fabricator is overcharging just because someone on eBay might be offloading a copycat bumper for cheaper. If I didn't have to pay any overhead for design, rig building (yes you need a rig built to build bumpers), CAD time, fitting, etc etc I'm sure I could offer a bumper for cheaper than the vendors are too. It doesn't mean they are ripping us off though for passing those costs along.

Do the vendors make a healthy amount of money off each bumper? You bet. Do I think they are an oligopoly pricing these things well about what they are worth? Nope.

If this turns out to be the 3rd bumper fabricator for all pro unloading bumpers themselves, well, more power to them but it definitely isn't good for the industry. That would be something truly Chinese inspired.

    I agree...

That's how the import scene went to shit, a lot of crappy made in China stuff start showing up that are replicas of the actual parts that many vendors worked so hard to produce. You gotta pay to play.

Yup. It's also why companies in the LED industry like Rigid, VisionX, and Baja have to keep their prices so high. If half of the generic Chinese "cree" bars were Rigid or Baja made in America stuff... the price would be much lower and a lot less people would be crying about busted bars. I had a guy tonight try to sell me his own hookup "cree" bars. I asked him what "cree" meant. He said it meant it was bright .

Without those top end LED companies there would be no new tech every year or words for like "cree" that mean something. If the bumper market heads that direction... well start preparing for tons of POS bumpers for $500 while good ones skyrocket to over $2K.

The problem here is this is an All-pro rehash, so people don't care too much seeing as they have a higher proportion of mixed reviews than the others out there. Funny thing is if this was a Pelfrybilt knockoff or Bruteforce/Relentless/any of the other TW vendors on here people would be flipping there shit at such a travesty.

On a side note: besides these I mean does anyone really think we re going to see a surge in cheap ass bumpers for a truck whose generation has come and gone? I mean with jeeps it's a total different story.

Sad but true. If it was Pelfreybilt I'm sure this would of caused a shitstorm. I like my Pelfreybilt stuff and their people but some people are absolute fanatics for them. Who can blame them either when they have folks hanging out on all the facebook groups talking up their product and following up with something that is as good as the hype.

I think the second gen is still worth supporting. There are thousands of them out there, and lots of used ones are available now, and people will be more willing to wheel and strip them down. Not many people are ready to chop up or strip down a brand new truck and wheel it. I was, but that's what I bought my truck for :D

Mobtown has been here since the first few pages :notsure:

All pro chipped in once just to say they weren't directly involved in this too. However they have neither confirmed or denied that these are the same bumpers they are selling minus a few company logos.

Just watching. And I might be wrong but what should be expected when you put your name on a product that gets built by another shop. If you don't fab it, and don't protect it, then someone will. Just my opinion as one that could do it myself.
