16 tacoma trailer brake control?

Hello i have a 2016 tacoma trd sport with the tow package. Im getting a utility trailer with brake on it and need to get a brake controller for it. My question is where to hook it up to? I opened one on the bezels and found a plug that sort of looks like what i need but im not sure due to the fact that it only has one wire. Can anybody help please? Thanks.

It's tucked up tight inside the drivers side kick-panel.

 

That is not it, try and have a good time standing on your head while learning how many different combinations of cuss words you can come up with. If its like the 2nd gens its tucked in that kick panel somewhere, you should find it within a few hours. Happy fishing!
