    Hi just wanted to know if anybody lives in close to escondido CA .... wanna change timing belt but have never done it before. Would be awsome if somebody from the forums lived close by, and maybe help me out ... will compensate!

    You'll probably have better luck posting in the regional forums.. In the meantime do some research here for this job. Lots of useful info, tips and tricks. Pretty basic job, just time consuming. If you do enough research and find the info, it'll be doable for diy if you don't find help. I had never done that kind of job either and was a bit overwhelmed. But got it done in like two evenings.

    And if you don't already know, the whole kit is very reasonably priced from 'aircabinman' on eBay. All genuine Toyota parts. That's what everyone here has used.

    you can also try Amazon. i bought my kit there, all asian parts. buy the kit with the timing belt tensioner, will save you a lot of headache. I did mine around 6 hour with pizza and beer.

    Ok guys, will do. I ordered the Factory Service Manuals from Toyota. So I thinking with that as a refrence, I should be good.
