Differential Breather Mod Light Bar: 4 Cree LED lamps Bilstein 5100s Ride Rite Air Bags
You have 10 driving traction modes!

    Quick Lesson:

VSC= Vehicle Stability Control (corrects driving direction from side sliding, at speed)
TRAC = Traction Control (Limited Slip) helps to keep you moving ahead on slippery surfaces when tire(s) loose traction. Uses engine regulation and brakes to slow wheel spin so power goes to the traction tire(s) that are not spinning.
AUTO LSD & TRAC OFF = Traction Control with engine regulation turned off (stronger limited slip, uses brakes only but doesn't cut engine power)

Transfer case dial (3 modes): 2WD to 4WD-HIGH to 4WD-LOW.

    VSC OFF BUTTON (4 modes):
    Quick press: TRAC to AUTO LSD (2WD); TRAC to TRAC OFF (4WD HIGH);
Press and hold in for 3+ seconds while stopped: VSC OFF (in 2WD & 4WD for no TRAC and no VSC).
Press button again (or restart truck) to return to normal TRAC.

In Low Range 4WD (3 more modes)...
A-TRAC BUTTON: Press the first time you use 4WD LOW. Adds "locker-like" limited slip (almost no slip) to front and rear tires. Astronomical improvement in off road ability over Low Range alone.

REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOCKER: Locks both rear tires' rotation together in the differential. Recommended for emergency use only to get unstuck. Steering ability is compromised so be careful.

A-TRAC & REAR LOCKER: This will give the front tires near locker traction while the rear tires are 100% locked. Again, in an emergency stuck situation. I have never been stuck with my 2010 Tacoma thanks to A-TRAC, so my locker use on my truck has solely been for testing or pulling others out of stucks. See the videos in my sig. below.

ALSO: Tire air pressure is a big big deal off road. Lowering the air pressure adds traction, improves flat resistance, provides floatation in sand. Get a good, fast air pump to refill after off roading.
Typical Pressures, stock or near-stock tires:
    STREET: 29-34 psi
    DIRT: 20-25 psi
SAND: 10-15 psi (when deflated this low avoid sharp turns, slamming brakes, high speed)

2009-2011 OFF ROAD TRDs do not have a 'TRAC OFF' mode in 4WD HIGH. It was just called TRAC, has the same level of traction control as TRAC OFF (no engine regulation), and required no button pushing.

The 2016+ automatics have MTS and CRAWL which use A-TRAC but with more fine tuning of the amount of control.
