So, just to be clear, obesity isn't always the"disability" sometimes it's the consequence of the disability... but certainly, walking can help control weight, and minimize weight gain from disability... of course they also hand out those for individuals with hearing disabilities, etc... it's not only about mobility issues... a poorly defined problem begats a poorly defined solution, every time

...^^^... I hope your husband continues in good health and does not need the VA health care or disability system.

I help veterans with their claims and have seen several die from ALS & various cancers from AO & etc. before their claims were adjudicated by the VA.

Working with last 2 now .... (1) 3 tour Afghan Ranger with PTSD and (2) a helicopter instructor who's very beautiful 36 y/o veteran wife just died of breast cancer from harmful chemical exposure during her military service.

In the 58 cases (now finishing 60th) .... I have never seen an undeserving veteran who was "pushing up his problems" to get compensation.

Sorry for the bad experiences for your husband & you.

PS ... Believe it or not ... my biggest problem with a VA claim is getting accurate DoD, VA and medical records to do the claim. I can't believe how many mistakes in the DD-214's and DoD & VA paperwork in general. Good luck with VA in whatever you all decide to do.

The handicapped parking placard abuse is off the chain in this shittown. I'm surprised I haven't gotten my butt kicked, as many times as I've approached clearly healthy folks getting out of their car.

"Hi! Do you need some help? I see you're parked in a handicapped spot."
    "Hey, Fuck off jerk."
    " :) "

    Also, I'm an ass.

At the Y, a few times per week. She's gotta park this land barge in the tight parking area up front every time, because Lord knows you wouldn't want to walk from the back of the parking lot when you're going to the gym. She might get some exercise!

Forget going to the gym I would be The Golden Nugget Pancake House for some pancakes or corned beef and hash.
