My new Tacoma revs high when I turn the steering wheel to the left or right...it causes the truck to lurch forward or back. My 2010 never had this issue. Is anyone having the same problem?

Normal operation. The power steeringrb pump is attached to the engine and adds load as the wheel is turned, causing the rpms to drop and PCM tries to compensate by increasing rpms. Even spikes in electrical power loads will trigger variations in the idle speeds as the alternator loads up to supply the power. Same thing happens with the AC.
