Hey what's up everyone. I just got myself a Taco a few weeks ago and planning on lifting it. I got an 06 crew cab 4wd. There's a 3" lift from Fat Bobs called the Predator Strike Force. Here's the link to the lift:

    http://4x4.fatbobsgarage.com/mobile...orce-suspension-package-2005-2016-p33238.aspx

I've heard good things about this lift so I'm planning on going this route. I was told the max tire size you can get is a 285/70/r17 so I picked up a set of Toyo open country at2s yesterday and now looking for rims. I went into a shop and they told me that I would need to get atleast 18mm offset wheel so I wouldn't have to do any trimming to the cab mount. I'm struggling finding any wheels I like with a 18mm offset. Does anyone have a setup similar to this and have tried other wheel offsets? Or have any wheel recommendations for that have 18mm offset?

Looks good only thing I would change is the single AAL in the back. They don't last long and will just eventually sag. I would go with a 3 leaf Progressive 1.5 inch AAL in the back at a minimum. Also check out @HeadStrong Off-Road as they have tons of options and are a Vendor on here. Ask for Marie, I tagged them so they will come and answer any questions you have

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
If you hike that up to 3 inches high without installing upper control arms it's gonna ride poorly. If you push out the wheels that far you're gonna be sticking out of the fender and eating up the flares any time you turn.

You'll just need to do a little trimming, no big deal

this is making me rethink my lift choice now.. Any recommendations for a 3" lift kit with upper control arms that'll allow the tires I just bought(285/70/r17)?

A little trimming is okay with me but I don't really like the idea of doing the cab mount trimming..

I'm fairly new on here and there may be another thread that answers the question I just asked.

Unless you push way out (and trim a lot of fender) you'll be trimming the cab mount. It's just how the shapes work out.

its all about wheel offset i guess. I run 285s and don't rub the cab mount with -12 offset.

Its not offset you want to look for, its back spacing. You need a minimum 4.5" bs to clear the UCA's with 285's. Less back spacing = more it sticks out. 4.5" makes the tire right even with the fender.

Well shoot, I was hoping to get the stealth custom series wheels.. I like your F5's btw. So I found a set of pro comp wheels series 41 w/ 4.75 bs and -6 offset. Will these work and not require the cab mount chop?

Any SCS wheels will work. Not sure 4.75 bs will work... I rub the frame at full lock/stuff (no sway bar though) so I'd aim for no more than 4.5" bs, preferebly 4".
Since you are getting 17" wheels you shouldn't have a problem. All SCS wheels come in 17" and will clear 285's. As for a cab mount chop no promises.. Most likely going to but it isn't a big deal, takes about an hour.

You must not push it that hard. Back space and offset are "technically" the same thing.

Yeah you're correct, thats what i was gonna ask him. If you're doing little to no offroading then you'll be ok. Im not gonna sit here like half the guys on this forum and pretend like i offroad everyday or anything.
