Working out this same issue my self for multi day remote beach camping trips...
65 gallon tank and a 3.2gpm 12v pump should do the trick. Will post more after I finish the plumbing. image.jpg

6 people (3 women folks), 5 days, 40-50 miles down island. North padre island is remote... No facilities just raw wild beach. I'm not driving 100 miles a day so they can shower up.

It's a camping trip. If they wanted to shower everyday, they should have booked a spa instead.

You could do this with a $25 water can, and another $20 in parts. Of course you will need a compressor which can be an awesome cheap MV-50 for $40 or go big with a $400 ARB system. Either way, pressurized water is great if you have kids or dogs or both and go to the beach alot. I do like that road shower though!

Whoa. You pump air into the Scepter can? This is genius. Never seen that before.

Now, did your hand fit through the neck opening to tighten/seal faucet and the air nipple?

This right here was the hardest part of the install. With some ingenuity, patience and use of many repeated four letter words, it can be done...

Here is a video I made years ago from my first version of this can. I had to modify for some new Adventure Trailer can holders I recently got. You can see why I couldn't put the spigot and schrader valve in the cover this time.

I'm thinking of using a rubber tire valve instead of the air nipple. Then I'll be able to use the compressor inflator and check the pressure (PSI) so the water container doesn't explode. Plus, it might be easier to install the tire valve vs. the air nipple.

*EDIT - just saw the video with the Schrader valve. Damn. I can't even claim it as an original idea! LOL

Any advantage by having the valve and the faucet on the side vs the cap?

None that I have seen. I would rather have had it in the cap itself. You can move it from can to can if you needed to. With the can holders I went with, it just wouldnt have worked and I dont have the skills to fab up a strap that would go around the cap otherwise I would have done that instead.

Someone already mentioned WaterPort. But I want to bring them up again. I used to run fishing charters and island expeditions down in the Florida keys. We had these on all our work trucks, which were all tacomas - I know it was a tough life. These are absolutely incredible showers we used them not only to spray ourselves down but also the beds after cleaning fish, kayaks, paddleboards, and what ever the hell else we wanted to use it for.

    Get something like this http://www.webstaurantstore.com/roy...moist-towelette-wet-nap-1000-case/433WET.html

Warm them up in the sun, wrap a bunch in aluminum foil and warm them in the engine bay. Why carry the weight of water and go through all the trouble to have a shower when the goal of staying clean without a cold splash in the face can be accomplished for $10 and weighs about 10 lbs for a thousand of them?

Good grief, you have to carry a lot of water to have even a birdbath, weight is better used for DRINKING WATER, clean up the simplest way.
