12 way easier to live with, my friend was shopping for a Tacoma in 2012 and only a used one was suitable for his budget, so I told him "Don't sit in a 12 or you'll buy it, and grey is best" He sent this a day later.

Secondary air filter removal, K&N drop in, Removed front mud flaps, Toyota all weather matts, skid plate, bug guard. Bilstein 5100's all around fronts set at 2.5", OME add a leaf, Goodyear Wrangler Authority 265/70/17, stubby 6.5" antenna, smoked tail lights, blacked out badges.
I vote 12 and that's a killer price on each

Does this look like a trailer brake that's been installed?

I would go 2012, you might be out of warranty but the frame might have less rust... Also there are more running changes with newer model... from 09 to 12, Toyota makes update so they may have fixed something that they may not have fixed in 09 that will cost you more out of pocket. Also the newer front end if you prefer that is a benefit. Low mileage older car can mean anything...from a weekend car to low commuter to mileage not correct. I know my 2014 they made changes from previous 2013 on certain parts of the engine.

But the real question that no one is asking, is why would anyone move to Wichita Falls?

Definitely something I want to look into. What are some things to look at/for to tell if it towed a lot?

Get the 12 if you prefer the front. If not get the 09

Remember 10K on a Tacoma is absolutely nothing....that's 1-2 oil changes difference....

Ah! Thanks for your service, and remember, DFW is only a short drive away (in TX terms). Good luck at your next station.

2012 for sure - on a Toyota you'll have stuff wear out from age long before it wears out from mileage (assuming the maintenance wasn't skipped).

Just out curious it's. Can anyone enlighten me on the type of lift going on here? More specifically the additional control arms that look to be at play?
