I had it for 1 1/2 years in my '14 but canceled it before I traded. I never even turned it on in my '16 and I get at least 2 or 3 postal letters and emails every week. I also get 4 or 5 phone calls a day that I never answer. They could not be a more annoying company and they will never get my business after the onslaught they have thrown at me.

I canceled because the content sucked along with all the repeated content, the advertisements also were a major factor in dumping them. I might pay $30 a year but with all the hassles that price is to high. My Ipod stays plugged in and I listen to music I like that sounds better on top. If that get old I'll stream.

I have it in my truck and in my wife's car. I also pay for a subscription to Pandora, which we tend to listen to more than XM. I refuse to listen to normal FM as I don't care for today's music.

Sirius will always negotiate prices. I fell in love with Willie's Roadhouse and FoxNews Headlines channels during the trial period and now I can't live without it, so I settled on a fair price for a year subscription. Note: I live in them middle of nowhere and regular radio is slim pickins' with weak signals around here.

phone company has limits on how much data/GB you can use. So using the phone radio would eat up our minutes quick, then get slapped with extra phone charges.

I have 30 gigs a month and have never gone over 15 in a month. It's not an issue. Using radium works awesome if you want to listen to Sirius on the go without paying the additional premium of the app as well.

For the last 2 years on another car I called them every 5 month to cancel and after 3 to 5 "best offers" they finally give me another 5 months for about $25. I NEVER give them my credit card but ask to be billed so I can send a check. They charge a $2 fee for invoice billing but it's worth it for them NOT to have my credit card so they can't auto-renew me.

It's a bandwidth issue. They have so many channels they must limit the bandwidth on each which leads to poor sound quality. Bandwidth cost money especially over a satellite. If they dropped half of the channels or even 1/3rd of them there would be enough total bandwidth to improve the sound dramatically.

I just renewed, trial just ended. 12 mos. for the price of 7. Gotta have it. Love to listen to a variety of music and comedy and sports. FM stations suck around here always have. Same ol classic rock songs over and over. Love AM though KNBR & KSRO.

Why pay for a subscription in your truck when all you have to do is listen to Sirius from your apt from the phone using your trucks bluetooth

I renewed for one year and one year only. I think mine ended up costing about $8 a month. After that one year deal, it will jumped to $18 something, which I'm not going to pay for.

I went with the 6months for $25 deal even though I think they must be using a low bitrate and heavy compression - the sound is terrible! I make sure I always cancel (or renegotiate) before it auto-renews at full price. I have an appointment set on my calendar to call their cancellation number (866-635-2349) with my ESN/Radio ID and Account Number all in the reminder. If they offer me another 6months/$20 then I'll probably go for it otherwise I'll definitely cancel.

Most of the time I use my T-Mobile unlimited streaming+Spotify Premium and set the streaming quality to "EXTREME" which is 320kbps. Even in a noisy truck environment with the stock JBL stereo I can clearly tell the difference in sound - Spotify sounds wayyy better than Sirius which I'm guessing must run at ~128kbps (or possibly less for talk radio channels?). In my Lexus or my home stereo the sound difference is even more dramatic.

Apple Music is another option. I've never done a sound comparison personally but some think it may even sound better than Spotify (even though it uses a lower bitrate).
