Entune and bluetooth connection to Nexus 6

Does any one know if Entune will only play random song selections via bluetooth from an Android phone or can you navigate artists, genre etc... through the Entune system?

 

I have the same phone, but it's really not dependent on that.

You can't use Entune to navigate through artists or genres, etc. You can only go forward and backward in whatever folder you have going as far as I know.

 

Yeah, I knew it wasn't dependant on the phone as well. It seems it would be a "nice to have" to be able to navigate through your music without handling the phone.

 

i can navigate (through the head unit) through the music on my girlfriend's iPhone 6s but not through my Nexus 5x. my ass is pretty chapped about that since i wanted to finally retire my iPod.

 

I have always found it rather annoying that Android doesn't get as much play as Apple when it comes to this kind of thing. I'm a tech guy myself so it "chapps" my ass as well. The functionality should be equal in this instance for sure. I just want to see my artist folders/album/songs. It's a pretty simple ask.
