    Hey all,

My name is Steve and I live in Tracy, CA. I've been lurking and learning for a while now, and thanks to TW and all you folks, I was able to figure out exactly how I wanted my Tacoma set up.

This will be the first truck I have owned since the '39 Ford pickup I had when I was a kid and I'm pretty stoked about it! I've owned nothing but Toyotas since 1978 (Celica GT liftback). The closest I came to a truck, till now, was an '01 Sequoia. I wanted a Tundra then, but we had kids at the time and the wife thought an SUV would suit our situation better. ( :ballchain: Happy wife - Happy life... )

:mudding:The kids are on their own now, so I got to pick this time.

Thanks for all the info and sound advice you've all posted here and hopefully' I can bring a little something of value back to the table myself soon. Now it's on to the fun of the "mod$". First order of business is to black-out that grill.

    -Steve

Welcome and congratulations. One of my first things was to black out all my emblems. Try out Plasti-Dip. Works great and holds up to car washes. It has been a year and a half and I FINALLY need to re-do the badges. Give it a try.

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

@cfayne - That's another thing I want to do is change all my badging to black. Thanks for the tip. I've pretty much settled on the replacement grill. I like the Perf SS mesh black one from Custom Car Grills. Have to do some Photoshop mock-ups to narrow down the exact config, though...
