I bought a Toytec Boss Kit for my 2013 Tacoma in December of 2014. I upgraded both the upper control arms to Total Chaos and Rear Leafs with heavier leafs.
The rear shocks were what came with the kit. Its been less than two years and I have already had to replace the rears once. I recently took the car in to my local shop (very reputable and solid) and they told me yet again...my rear shocks are in need of replacement.

Toytec only has a year warranty...mine are unfortunately out of warranty.

I am looking to add something that will last more than 8 to 12 months. I drive a lot of highway/street and some sporadic off roading here in the Lake Tahoe/Reno area (Nothing ultra intense.) I am astonished these rear shocks are gone...yet again.

Advice?? What shocks should I buy to replace my second set of rear shocks from Toytec.

    Please PM me.

Here is what I have on the rear (pulled from the invoice in my email)

Boss05-Leaf Springs *(2) ToyTec BOSS 05+ Tacoma Leaf Spring

    C476/C478 *(2) C478 or (2) C476 Tacoma Rear Bilstein

Two pairs of rear shocks already shot with light off road work? kinda strange.. Also, the lift was installed by Jim Foley and his team at Folbeck:http://folbeck.com/ These guys are pros and have been in the business for over 30 years.

Guessing your shocks are being damaged by improper rear setup, either they're too short or too long. Or your bump stop isn't correct.

    :notsure:
